Oh, Dear Palestine!
Oh, dear Palestine!
Forgive your brothers and sisters
For they have failed you
Their voices don’t echo
Their hearts don’t pump
Their souls tarnished
Their bodies are mere graveyards,
of spoilt dreams and emotions
Forgive their existence,
because they can’t breathe
Oh, dear Palestine,
If we ever told you
We hold you dear
Believe not
For we fear our worldly Gods
For we don’t have the nerves,
to look into their eyes and question them,
about your afflictions
We, who cry over your atrocities
We, who raise hue and cry,
are caged in our self-imposed shackles
Oh, dear Palestine!
There will come a time
When truth will prevail
When the light is seen
When your blood won’t go in vain
When life will be dear
That day will the world see
How mighty is Palestine!
